FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

Q: What does this lodge do?
A: The purpose of this lodge is to improve the communication, morale and strengthen the brotherhood between all Police Departments in Rock County. This will be done through special programs that assist the citizens we work for as well as the fellow officers we work with. Please see Calendar of events page for more info.

Q: Who is eligible for membership?
A: Any full-time law enforcement officer in Rock County is eligible for Active Membership. Part-time and Retired officers are eligible as Associate or Retired members. Citizens and family can also be Associate members.

Q: What are the primary Foundations the F.O.P. dontates to?

A: Easter Seals and Special Olympics are the Foundations that receive the largest support and donations by the F.O.P. nationally. Nationwide our members participate and plan the Law Enforcement Torch Run along with other organizations. The FOP and the Miller Brewing Co. compile and distribute the Miller Driver's License/ID Booklets to Officers all over the U.S. The FOP also has its own Scholarship Foundation on a National level.

Q:Are there other Police Organizations within Rock County like the F.O.P.?

A: Yes, each department in Rock County has their own Associations responsible for Union issues such as Collective Bargaining, Grievances and Department issues. Unlike the individual Associations, The Rock River F.O.P. Lodge is intended to bring each Association's members together in a different arena for a common goal within Rock County as a whole. This bond between agencies strengthens the output back to the communities our members serve while on-duty as well as off-duty.
